Monsoon Lagoon

BACK to Children's Work page

The Year 4 and 5 children have been working on an exciting cross-curricular project this half term, based around a theme park called "Monsoon Lagoon" which we pretended was going to built in Hucknall. We did Drama, Literacy and D&T work based around this idea.

You can see photographs below of the giant 3-D model which all the children in Year 4 and 5 worked on together, and which filled a whole corner of one of our classrooms! The model shows the 6 different lands at "Monsoon Lagoon" (Candy Land, Pirate Cove, Ocean Realm, Knights' Night, Land of Terror and Jungle Land". The children worked in small groups to design and make a ride to fit in with the theme of the different areas of the park. Would you be brave enough to ride them?!
